Kansas City.
To me this is a big one. I've really fallen in love with my city for the last few years. It's not where I was born, but it's where I've become me. Where I have rooted in. Where I graduated college. Where I first lived on my own. Where I became a wife. Where I've become a photographer. Where I became a volunteer. Where I will be for many years to come.
I am thankful that it's big enough to wonder around and find new pieces.
I am thankful for colorful doors.
I am thankful for new architecture.
I am thankful that it's small enough for me to run into friends at the apple store or the lobby of a local elementary school.
I am thankful for the ability to whip across town on the highway.
I am thankful for the ability to drive the long way through neighborhoods.
I am thankful for the diversity.
I am thankful for communities of connection.
Today, I am thankful for my city...Kansas City.
